Happy Monday!
Here is what we did today:
Math: Today we discussed square roots and reducing fractions. The students had a lot of practice in reducing. Problem set 90 was assigned and is due on Tuesday. We will have a test over the items previously taught.
Science: We reviewed for our test that will be on Wednesday. The students have a study guide.
Social Studies: We read pages 210-215 discussing the middle colonies.
Spelling: Unit 21 here are the words: broken, frighten, specialize, organize, shaken, fertilize, awaken, realize, loosen, summarize, criticize, forgotten, modernize, stolen, generalize, memorize, frozen, civilize, flatten, straighten. We wrote our words five times each. The pretest will be on Tuesday.

In Mr. H's class we began The City of Ember a wonderful Young Hoosier book.
English/Writing: We did a writing prompt dealing with making up three new rules for the school.
