Happy Wednesday!
FYI: Mrs. D now has a student teacher and you should have received a note from him yesterday in the red folders. This should be a great semester for all of us.
Here is what we did today:
Reading: In Mrs. D's class we continued to read from Maniac Magee chapters 7-12. We took a quiz over yesterday's reading and discussed what happened so far. We also continue to write a diary entry after each reading assignment.
In Mr. H's class we continued to read Early Sunday Morning pages 60-66. This is a Dear America book detailing the life of a young girl during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. We also had a comprehension worksheet
Math: Today we discussed equivalent fractions. Problem set 79 was assigned and is due on Thursday.
Spelling: We had our pretest today and the workbook pages 110-113 are due on Thursday with the final test on Friday.
Science/Health: Today we discussed being a health consumer. We had a worksheet dealing with cause and effects as well.
Social Studies: We are in the process of sketching or drawing a colonial community. A sample of this is found on page 160-161 in our textbooks.
English/Writing: We had a paragraph correction sheet and we began to write to our pen pals.
Have a great evening!
