Happy May Monday!

It is so hard to believe that we only have 19 days left of school. Time has sure flown! We will be taking semester tests this week in math and language arts. This will give us an idea of the things that we still need to cover before school lets out for the summer! This week should be a little less frantic but you never know!

Here is what we did today:

Math : We reviewed for our semester test and had a 15 question worksheet to do. We will take our semester test on Wednesday.

Spelling : We wrote our words three times each. We will take a pretest on Tuesday. Here are this weeks words: haiku, macaroni, karate, chipmunk, alligator, knapsack, boomerang, plaza, kimono, plaid, robot, waffle, crochet, yogurt, shampoo, beret, burro, guitar, hammock, yodel
The workbook this week will be due on Thursday, pages 206-207-208-209. This is a difficult lesson so do not wait until Wednesday night to complete.

Reading: In Mrs. D's class we worked on our novels. Frindle - Chapters 11 & 12, Tarantula - Chapters 10 & 11, and Pinballs - Chapters 15, 16, and 17. Also each student was to come up with two questions and answers from what they have read so far. We will be using these questions tomorrow.
In Mr. H's class - We read chapters 8-9 & 10 in George Washington's Socks.

Health : We discussed lesson 2 of chapter 6 and answered four questions on page 7 of our notes.

Social Studies: We watched a video titled George Washington.

English: In Mr. H's class we did a paragraph editing sheet.
In Mrs. D's class we wrote a paragraph about our trip to Lincoln.

*Our Science Central field trip permission slips went home on Friday. We can take any parents who want to attend. It costs $4.00 per person. It is a great trip. We learn a lot and have a lot of fun!
Have a great day!
