Happy Monday!

We hope you had a great weekend! Here is what we did in school today:

Math: We worked on problem set 17 dealing with multiplication of 2-3 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers. There are a few students still struggling with their multiplication facts ask your child if he/she knows their facts. Problem set 17 is due tomorrow.

Science: We read from some leveled readers dealing with classification. This is just another way to present the material on classifying. We did this in class and will continue tomorrow.

English: We worked on our quotation worksheet. We also worked on an essay on the person we admired the most.

Social Studies: We used this time for extra writing time.

Spelling: We will be working on unit 2 this week. Here are the words:
arrive, slope, growth, locate, design, supply, chosen, type, froze, polite, spoken, tone, describe, silent, thrown, deny, excite, bowl, style, decide. We will take a pretest on these words tomorrow.

Reading: In Mrs. D's class we discussed vocabulary dealing with our next story and added these words to our vocabulary notebooks. We listened to a story about hurricanes and we discussed the current hurricane happening in the south. We read the first section of our new story Eye of the Storm. We worked on worksheet 23 and part of 24.
In Mr. H's class we read from a book about hurricanes pages 6-18.

Have a wonderful evening!
