Happy Monday!

Here is what we did today:

Math: Today we discussed using reciprocals to divide fractions. The students were assigned problem set 96. If the students could solve ten chosen problems without error then they did not have to do the rest of the problem set. This was to encourage them to slow down and take their time. We had a few do it and we hope that this was a bonus for them.

Reading: In Mrs. D's class we read from the newspaper and discussed the Olympics. We worked on summarizing skills. We also worked on our final drafts of our writing piece.

In Mr. H's class we read from The City of Ember chapters 12-13.

Science: We reviewed for our test in Science over chapter 12. The students have a study guide that they completed as a class.

Social Studies: We worked with our partners on our projects and we finished the video on Ruby Bridges.

Spelling: We will be working on unit 23 this week. Here are the words: vane, principal, country, weight, kennel, vein, county, coarse, invent, except, colonel, diary, capitol, accept, vain, principle, event, capital, diary, course. Today we wrote these words 5 times each and we will have a pretest on Tuesday.

English/Writing: In Mr. H's class we did a writing prompt.

Have a great evening!
