Happy Tuesday!

We hope that you survived your Blueberry Weekend (in other areas what they refer to as Labor Day Weekend!)

We have some tired kids but we are working them hard :)

Here is what we did today:

Math: We talked about lesson 22, division with remainders. We also did an investigation dealing with 1/2's, 1/4's and 1/10's. The students were assigned problem set 22 due on Wednesday

English: We wrote a essay on the topic "What would you do if you were walking on the clouds?"

Science: We did an experiment dealing with what yeast cells need to grow. Ask your child what it is that they do need to grow.

Social Studies: We discussed more of chapter 1 and students are to read pages 40-43 on landforms.

Reading: In Mrs. D's class we read from the Hurricane book and the students each wrote a paragraph describing what they had learned.
In Mr. H's class we began reading the Wishgiver pages 1-16. We wrote a paragraph detailing their own wish.

Spelling: We are working on lesson 3. The pretest will be on Wednesday. Here are our new words:
humid, remove, prove, costume, rescue, unit, annual, suit, include, continue, future, beauty, movies, value, humor, museum, avenue, produce, amuse, youth. The students are to write their spelling words three times each for Wednesday. The workbook pages 20-23 is due on Thursday.

Have a restful evening.
